Privacy Policy

Overview

Faith Journey (“the App”) is a faith and devotional iOS application operated by Josh Levy Labs Inc (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and how you can control it.

Data You Provide

  • Account. Email address and password (or sign-in provider identifier) used to create your account.
  • Profile. Display name, optional avatar, faith tradition(s) you identify with, and traditions you choose to explore. You may use the App anonymously within the community feed when you choose to do so.
  • Practice content. Reflections, prayer requests, comments, follows, group memberships, and other entries you create within the App.
  • Support communications. Anything you send us at josh@joshlevylabs.com.

Data Generated by Use

  • Activity counts. The App computes your Faith Compass on your device from counts of prayers completed, lessons completed, reflections written, and similar engagement signals. The counts are stored in your account so the Compass can be recomputed.
  • Streaks and progress. Streak history and curriculum progress are stored to enable the daily checklist and Story Circles.
  • Push notification tokens. Stored to deliver daily reminders and prayer notifications you have opted into.
  • Crash and diagnostic logs. Generated by Apple and Expo to help us diagnose issues. These contain no devotional content.

Third-Party Services

  • Supabase. Hosts the database and authentication for the App. Data you create is stored on Supabase under our project.
  • RevenueCat / Apple App Store. Process subscription purchases and entitlements. We never receive or store your full payment method.
  • Anthropic (Claude). When you chat with an AI Faith Guide, your message and relevant context (selected tradition, recent practice) are sent to Anthropic to generate the response. No Anthropic-side training is performed on user content per our API terms.
  • ElevenLabs. Used to synthesize Guide voice audio. Text prompts and your selected guide are sent at playback time.
  • Telegram (optional). If you enable the Personal Faith Guide Telegram bridge (premium), your Telegram username is linked to your account so messages route to the correct conversation.
  • Expo / EAS. Used for over-the-air updates and push notification delivery.

How We Use Data

  • To operate the App and deliver the features you request.
  • To compute your Faith Compass and personalize content for your tradition.
  • To deliver notifications you have opted into.
  • To diagnose bugs and improve the App.
  • To enforce our community guidelines and prevent abuse.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not train external machine-learning models on your personal content.

Community Content

Reflections, prayers, and prayer requests you choose to publish to the community feed are visible to other Faith Journey users. Anonymous posting is available; when used, your handle and avatar are hidden from other users while your account remains identifiable to us for moderation purposes. We apply automated and manual moderation to public content.

Data Retention & Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Faith Settings or by emailing josh@joshlevylabs.com. Account deletion removes your profile, practice content, and identifying records. Aggregate non-identifying counts may be retained for service analytics.

Children

Faith Journey is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and, where required, surfaced in-app.
